Kicked off at 11:00 AM

Stuart Hannah who is normally our regular sub gets a start and grabs a Hat-Trick, there was also a Hat-Trick for top goalscorer Jack Patterson.

This week saw us have a free week in the league so we agreed to play St. Teresa’s in a friendly at Dairyhall with an 11am kick off. Stuart Hannah started his first match up front and a team debut for new signing Dee Thompson. We started the game very brightly and should have scored early on when Jack Patterson shot just wide but in the sixth minute we were 1 : 0 up when St. Teresa’s goal keeper kicked his goal kick straight at Jack Patterson and he raced through to tuck the ball in the back of the net. Our second goal came 7 minutes later this time Matthew Guest went down the left wing sent over a cross for Stuart Hannah to run on to and volley it in to the net, then two minutes later Stuart grabbed his second goal of the match, this time the provider was Jack Patterson when his shot was saved by the keeper and Stuart ran on to the rebound to tap it in to the net to make it 3 : 0. Ryan Hannah and Reece Atkinson came on as subs just before half time and both combine for the fourth goal when Reece gathered the ball in midfield, went forward and play a pass out to Ryan on the right wing who came inside the box slipped passed the defender and place a low shot passed the goal keeper into the far left corner of the net.

HALF TIME: 4 . 0

Within three minutes of the restart Stuart Hannah got his Hat-Trick, Noah Crenshaw was the provider when he chipped the ball forward for Stuart to volley in to the net, 5 : 0. Then everyone decided to get into the act with Jack Hare, Bradley McCourt & Brandon McFerran pushing forward from the back at every chance, all coming close to scoring on numerous occasions but it would be 16 minute before full time before we would get number six. Marcus Baron push forward down the left played the ball across the box for Jack Patterson to hit the shot and it was too powerful for the keeper as it squirmed through his legs into the net for Jack’s second of the match, 6 : 0. Then came the goal of the match and it came from our right back Brandon McFerran, with some good team football the ball fell to Stuart Hannah 25 yards out he quickly push the ball out to the right and Brandon let a thunderous shot off that sailed into the roof of the net, such a goal, 7 : 0. Jack Patterson would not be denied his hat-trick and with 2 minutes left Ryan Hannah went down the right sent over a cross for Jack to get on the end of and despatch it into the back of the net.

FULL TIME: 8 . 0

MANAGERS COMMENTS:

Excellent all round team performance in a game we totally dominated but we must take this type of performance back in to the league and our N.I.B.F.A. Cup tie against Magherafelt. “Keep it going boys.”
