Al-Muslim Masters continue in their rich vein of winning form, and, with a win over 'Young Money Cash Money Builders FC' in an 8-6 thriller, still remain undefeated for the entirety of this season. The Starting XI for the game featured: Adeel (GK), Zuhair, Junaid (C), Yousuf, and Adam.
Due to many absentees from the normal matchday squad, there was room for 4 trialists, from the notorious AMM Academy 'Al-Masia', to try and earn themselves a professional contract.
Adam, Adeel and Zuhair all of whom were playing for the first time this season, made an impressive return to first team football, whilst veterans Junaid and Yousuf were as remarkable as ever. Goals came from Adam and Yousuf, both of whom managed a brace of goals and assists.
Yousuf, playing as a Right Winger, scored a typical trademark finish in the 51st minute, to keep alive his Jamie Vardy-esque streak of scoring in 6 consecutive games despite being under immense pressure from the media and fans His second goal in an extremely unorthodox manner, being the first player in history to score with his right leg and then his third leg mashallah - what an achievement.
There were also good performances within the defence particularly from Goalkeeper for the day, Adeel who made impressive saves and showed great awareness throughout the game, and also from Zuhair who was faultless in all aspects of the game today.
Man of the Match*, Adam, finally was granted his wish as he started in goal for the Masters for the first ever time, and despite conceding a goal within 10 minutes, he then went on to do, what he does best, which is dribbling past all the opposition with ease and scoring goals for the Bants.
There were moments of madness in the game, as the allegedly 14 year old, opposition's goalkeeper who was well over 6ft, had a fully grown out beard and donned a 100% Official, definitely not fake, YMCMB sweatshirt, came off the pitch in a stretcher, after falling 30 cm to the ground, which resulted in his shoulder being broken in 7 places and his already previously injured jaw being scarred for life. Meaning the game was reduced to 8 aside. The opposition whom were filled with fresh off the boat Syrian and Somali refugees, were captained by Manchester United and French International Anthony Martial, who despite playing the full 90 minutes was no match for the Muslim Masters.
Overall, it was a very solid team performance with everyone playing in harmony and very well.
