Rangers continue there winning ways with one of the biggest wins in the clubs history. The doubters and backstabbers have been silenced as AFC smashed Queens Head out of the challenge cup blowing creating havoc for the St. Albans rumour mill.
The match was forced to be played on the worst pitch at toulmin where the veteran Afc player - SAPPPPS had two foot studded a player in the chest to recieve his 3rd red of the season from his mortal enemy (that ref that hated him) in div 5, my how things have changed.
AFC started the game slowly with a few QHS attacks coming close before rangers settled into their stride and bagan to play football with some belief, QHS did break the deadlock halfway through the 1st half after another clanger decision from the ref causing a defensive mistake and a 1on 1 for QH striker. However Rangers held strong and battled hard just lacking that final ball in the QH half.
At half time Brown pants suggested a couple of changes in the line up which were introduced and Rangers began to play the football that wins them games, as they stroked the ball around using the space created by using 3 in the middle. Smith came on for Dommett and Jim went up top as point man. King and Smith caused QH defence trouble as they continued to break down the wings and Ledger was not enjoying the grunting of Danger constantly down his neck. The score was levelled when a cross played short from Macca to Burns and then onto Danger with a shout of time from Clegg, Danger took a touch looked up to see kings run, with a glance he noticed the keeper in "no mans land" with his second touch he teed up his amazing 45yd master strike which sailed into the top right of the goal hitting the under side of the crossbar setting the stage for a rangers on-slaught.
The goals then came thick and fast with a ball out wide to king who rounded the right back cutting into the box and scoring from what seemed an impossible angle, then Smithy made a similar run from the right cutting in and hammering a screamer into the back of the net. Now Rangers were enjoying themselves as they seen Bullet sculking on the side line silenced forever!
Rangers had to battle defensively througout and credit must go to the back 4 and central 3 who worked tirelessly to prevent the QH attack to allow the freedom for the 3 danger men Smith, King and Hill to do what they do best.
Ricky Petts and Broph made two game changing tackles preventing goals.
Rangers continued to push and a strike on goal forced the keeper out of his box to make a clearance he was being hunted hard by Clegg focing a howler of a clearance into the path of Macca who calmy touched the ball to create a half volley of such precsion to make it 4-1 - Class.
The 5th and final goal came when the ball was played into Dangers feet and like a experienced striker he held the man of his back played the ball into cleggs feet and rolled off for a little one 2 straight from the training field and drove through the QH defence to fire home.
COME ON RANGERS!!!! THIS WAS THE START OF OUR SEASON WE HAD ARRIVED AS A TRULY CLASS TEAM PERFORMANCE PREVAILED!!!
