History
The Balmain Sabretooths Football Club was founded in 1989 by a group of local footballers who wanted to provide a more competitive environment for players in the Balmain area. The club initially competed in the Sydney AFL Division 17 competition, before moving up to Division 16/2 in 2008.
The Sabretooths have enjoyed some success in recent years, winning the Division 16/2 premiership in 2009 and 2018. The club has also been a regular finalist in the competition.
