Westella & Willerby Football Club was founded in 1972. The club's first team played in the Hull & District Amateur Football League. In 1990, the club moved up to the Humber Premier League.
The club has never won the Humber Premier League title, but they have finished as runners-up on two occasions. In 2018, they lost the title to North Ferriby United on goal difference.
The club's most successful season was in 2019-20, when they reached the final of the Humber Premier League Cup. They lost the final to Hessle Town on penalties.
