The team was founded in 2009 as a reserve team for Newent Town first team. They have since become a successful team in their own right, winning the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 3 East in 2014-15 and the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 2 West in 2018-19.
The team's home ground is Wildsmith Meadow, which has a capacity of 1,000. Their current manager is Shaun Jones.

The Uhlsport Hellenic League is a football league in England. It is the ninth tier of the English football league system, and is one of the regional leagues at this level.
The league was formed in 1972, and is currently divided into three divisions: Division 1, Division 2 East, and Division 2 West. The champions of each division are promoted to the Southern League Division One South, while the bottom two teams in each division are relegated to the Gloucestershire County League.
