Newborough FC is a Welsh football team based in Newborough, Anglesey, Wales. The team was founded in 1946 and currently plays in the Anglesey League Division Two.
History
Newborough FC saw considerable success in the 1950s and 1960s, winning the Anglesey League title on four occasions. The club also won the Anglesey Amateur Cup on three occasions and the Anglesey Challenge Cup on two occasions.
The club's most famous player is Dai Roberts, who played for the club in the 1950s and 1960s. Roberts went on to play for Bangor City and Wrexham, and also represented Wales at international level.
Recent years
Newborough FC has struggled in recent years, and has not won a major trophy since the 1990s. The club currently plays in the Anglesey League Division Two, the fourth tier of Welsh football.
However, the club is committed to rebuilding and hopes to return to its former glory in the near future.
