CANTERBURY MARINERS WALKING FOOTBALL CLUB are a Walking football team made up of 68 team members.

The team is from Canterbury, Kent, England, United Kingdom and play in the Kent FA Walking Football League (East) 60+.

Canterbury Mariners Walking Football Club

Canterbury Walking Football Club was founded in 2014 by Trevor Phillips and has since flourished. The club spent a couple of years affiliated to Canterbury City FC but, in 2022, became Canterbury Mariners thanks to generous sponsorship from Marine Travel, based in the city.

We currently have over 40 members, male and female, with our youngest being 50 and our oldest 90!

With our club sessions on Mondays and Fridays throughout the year, we offer walking football for everyone, male (age 50+) or female (age 40+), regardless of ability.

Also, for those who enjoy more competitive games, we enter teams in the Kent FA leagues, and in regional, national, and international cup tournaments. (We have played in the Algarve Cup in Portugal on three occasions). We also play friendly games against like-minded clubs.

Social Events

Through walking football, many new friends are made, and we encourage this with our social events such as the Summer BBQ, Christmas Dinner Party etc., when members, their partners, families and friends can meet … off the field.
