More about the team
DYKE ROAD TAVERN FC Dyke road tavern fc was formed in 2009 as we had just folded the old team for some issues that we the players were unhappy about (needless to say it would only serve as a stain on this new website for the new team if we went into the old problems we had before). This is our first season in the league. We have had help starting up from Richard the dyke tavern pub landlord without him we wouldnt have been able to fund the start up of this new team, the pub host many nights and is huge there is a resturant which serves some great food a pub garden with a trampoline. We also got very lucky as ALL STAFF LTD sponsored us £500 for a kit and training equipment, if your in need of a job then ring 02392 473 490 they are based in hampshire but cover most areas for work. We are a group of players that have played in various teams and leagues over the past four or five years but the majority of us played last season 11 a-side saturdays, but that team folded as we wanted to start a new team with more structure we have had fantastic support from so many people. MONTREAL ARMS FC SEASON 2010/11 We finished season09/10 in 5th after a bad start we finished strongly. During the season we decided that for the new season we would be changing our team name to Montreal Arms FC. We had a few players who decided that a new challenge altogether would be better for them, So we said goodbye to Pistol Pete Harrington, Ian Muley Muir, Greg Redfearn ( Great Hair ) and Ben Chuck Norris. Fortunatly after some dodgy trials from some of the hopefulls we found six players who stood out they are Darren Stockwell, Russell Johnson, Craig Anderson, Gary Anderson, Reece Baker and Kyle Carnochan all very good editions to our squad. Richard has again provided us with our registration/affiliation fees with the league and All staff have brought us our second kit once again thank you both. So we are set for the new season and things are looking good after a successful pre-season.
