The Merseyside and Halewood JFL is a youth football league for children aged 7 and under. The league was founded in 1999, and currently has over 100 teams competing in it.
The league is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and the First Division. The top four teams in the Premier Division at the end of the season qualify for the play-offs, with the winner being crowned champions.
The league is affiliated to the Football Association, and its teams compete in the FA Youth Cup. The Merseyside and Halewood JFL has produced a number of talented footballers over the years, including Raheem Sterling and Jordan Henderson.
