Merseyside and Halewood JFL
The Merseyside and Halewood Junior Football League (MHJFL) is an amateur football league in Merseyside, England. It was founded in 1977 and currently has over 100 clubs affiliated to it. The league operates in a number of divisions, from Under-7s to Under-18s.
History
The MHJFL was founded in 1977 by a group of football enthusiasts in the Merseyside area. The league's first season had just 12 clubs, but it has since grown to become one of the largest amateur football leagues in the region.
The MHJFL has a number of cup competitions, including the Challenge Cup, the League Cup, and the Presidents Cup. The league also has a number of development squads for players aged 16 and over.
Current season
The current season of the MHJFL began in September 2022 and is scheduled to end in May 2023. The league is currently divided into 10 divisions, with each division having 10-12 teams.
The top two teams from each division at the end of the season are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next division.
