History
Guadalajara was founded on 8 May 1906, as Club Unión. The club was renamed Club Deportivo Guadalajara in 1912. Guadalajara has won the Liga MX championship 12 times, the Copa MX 5 times, and the Campeón de Campeones 7 times. The team has also won the CONCACAF Champions League 3 times.
Guadalajara is the most popular football club in Mexico. The team's home stadium is the Estadio Akron, which has a capacity of 60,000 spectators.
