Genesis Football Club is a Spanish football team based in ZGZ. The club was founded in 2010 and currently plays in the Tercera División RFEF, the fourth tier of Spanish football.
Genesis FC has a long history of success in the lower leagues of Spanish football. The club has won the Tercera División RFEF on two occasions, in 2015 and 2019. Genesis FC has also reached the final of the Copa del Rey de Fútbol Aficionados on two occasions, in 2017 and 2018.
The club's home stadium is the Estadio La Cubierta, which has a capacity of 2,000 spectators. The stadium is located in the ZGZ suburb of La Cubierta.
History
Genesis Football Club was founded in 2010 by a group of local businessmen and football enthusiasts. The club's first season was in the Primera Regional de Aragón, the fifth tier of Spanish football. Genesis FC won the Primera Regional de Aragón in their first season and were promoted to the Tercera División RFEF.
Genesis FC spent the next four seasons in the Tercera División RFEF. The club finished in the top half of the table in each of their first three seasons, but they were relegated to the Primera Regional de Aragón in 2017.
Genesis FC won the Primera Regional de Aragón in 2018 and were promoted back to the Tercera División RFEF. The club finished in third place in the Tercera División RFEF in 2019 and reached the final of the Copa del Rey de Fútbol Aficionados.
Genesis FC won the Tercera División RFEF in 2022 and were promoted to the Segunda División RFEF. The club is currently in its first season in the Segunda División RFEF.
