The club was founded in 2019 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their children with the opportunity to play football in a fun and friendly environment. The club started with just one team, but has since grown to over 20 teams, ranging from U8s to U16s.

FGS Leipzig competes in the Halewood Summer League 2023, which is a nine-a-side football league for children aged 8-9 years old. The league is played on artificial turf pitches at Halewood Leisure Centre.

The Halewood Summer League 2023 is a nine-a-side football league for children aged 8-9 years old. The league is played on artificial turf pitches at Halewood Leisure Centre. The league runs from July to August 2023.

There are 12 teams competing in the league.
Each team plays each other once, with the top four teams at the end of the season qualifying for the knockout stages.
The league is being sponsored by Halewood Leisure Centre.
