Cristal Football Club is a Peruvian football club based in Lima. The club was founded in 1955 and is one of the most successful clubs in Peruvian football, having won 26 national championships.
History
- Cristal was founded in 1955 by a group of students from the Catholic University of Peru. The club's first president was Augusto Astengo.
- Cristal won its first national championship in 1961. The club has since won 25 more championships, most recently in 2022.
- Cristal has also won the Copa Perú, Peru's second-tier football competition, on three occasions.
Stadium
Cristal's home stadium is the Estadio Nacional de Lima. The stadium has a capacity of 40,000 spectators.
