Chester-le-Street United Football Club is a football club based in Chester-le-Street, County Durham, England. They are currently members of the RFYL League, the ninth tier of English football.
History
The club was founded in 1906 as Chester-le-Street Juniors. They changed their name to Chester-le-Street United in 1920.
The club played in the Northern League from 1921 to 1977, winning the league championship in 1948-49. They also won the Northern League Cup in 1952-53 and 1960-61.
In 1977, the club left the Northern League and joined the Wearside League. They won the Wearside League championship in 1981-82 and 1982-83.
In 2004, the club joined the RFYL League. They have won the RFYL League championship twice, in 2012-13 and 2016-17.

The RFYL Football League is divided into two divisions, the Premier Division and Division One. The Premier Division champions are promoted to the Northern League Division Two, while the bottom two clubs in the Premier Division are relegated to Division One. The top two clubs in Division One are promoted to the Premier Division, while the bottom two clubs in Division One are relegated to the Wearside League.
The RFYL Football League is a well-respected league and has produced a number of players who have gone on to play professional football, including Michael Carrick, David Wheater and Grant Leadbitter.
