The Astley Bridge U7 Koalas Girls are a football team for girls aged 7 and under. They play in the Bolton, Bury and District Football League (BBDFL).
The team was formed in 2022 by a group of parents who wanted to provide their daughters with the opportunity to play football in a fun and supportive environment.
The Koalas have a squad of 12 players who train every Saturday morning at Astley Bridge Cricket Club. They also play matches against other teams in the BBDFL.
The team is managed by coaches who are all FA qualified. They are committed to providing the girls with a positive experience of football and helping them to develop their skills and confidence.
The Koalas have had a successful start to their season. They have won 3 of their 4 matches and are currently top of their league.
