Afc Kirkby started life as Peter Coyne over 2 Decades ago. In 2000 the current Secretary Mike Pugh took charge.
Recently the club went under major re-branding which saw its name change to AFC Kirkby. Re-branding seen the club also form a partnership With Knowlsey Metropolitian Council and Active Knowlsey, which meant they currenlty run the largest football playing facility in the aera not only for the club to use but also sevaral other Kirkby Based amatuer sides.
The club has always played in the Liverpool, Chesire, Merseyside and Sefton League until 2014 when the club joined the semi proffesional Liverpool county premier league.
