We knew we was up against a strong Div 4 side today and knew they like to get the ball down and play from watching the reserve game a couple weeks ago.
But we started brightly and after a sweet inswinging corner taken by Charlie ,Graham met it with his head from a well risen jump to head across the goal and beat everyone to the back of the net!
Tower hill did then come back into the game with a solo goal and nice dribbling but a slight slip from Karl meant he got his shot away and blast int te back of the night.
Undetered Wootton got our head down and proceeded to push on! Dave got himself intot he box which resulted in being pulled to the ground for a penalty.. buried down the middle by Charlie.
Soon followed by another well taken corner from the left by Tom it found the ball inswinging to the back post off the defender in to the net! Flukey but they all count!
The game went on with long spells of possession and some decent football.
Getting towards the end of the first half Mark picked up the ball from outside the box and with a shake of the ass managed to wiggle his way round 3 players to get a place a shot goal bound taking a small defelction to the bottom corner, no need for net rippers when you can slide one in!!
That wasnt it for the first half though, with few minutes left and almost instantly after our 4th Tower Hill found one of their shots squirm out of the keepers hands somehow into the net! a weird goal and a mistake but heads was not dropped.
Alot of missed chances with the game being close to out of sight, something we need to work on.

The second half was alot tighter from the Wootton boys and again with good possession and nice passing interplay chances was again being created, again a few missed.
But quickly into the 2nd half Dave popped up with a goal (wish i could elaborate but i dont remember it and neither does anyone else i asked!) still a goal to get the momentum going again,
Not long later Charlie picked up the ball to dart around a couple of players and from inside the box buried the ball in to the top of the net!
Tower Hill did keep going though and came close to another goal but a mass mele on the line resulting in players laid on the floor and bundled managed to get the ball out and cleared up field away from danger.
But there was still goals to come, the 7th was a result of another penalty after Charlie broke through into the area but a nasty challange worthy of at least a yellow was given our way , but no card shown! Charlie obviously in disagreement with the punishment or lack of. Dave stepped up to take the penalty but a weak shot down the middle was saved and pushed out wide, seconds later dave had managed to find the ball back at his feet and fired one in from outside the box to make up for that miss! great goal.
From the resulting goal Charlie then made a challange that meant he was heading for a early shower leaving us with 10 for the last 5 minutes.
Even still we wasnt finished yet, when in the last remaining minutes Ben slid a ball through to Mitch who eventually got the goal he came close to on numorous occassions before with no success.
