Wollaton Hall Yellow             1
West Hallam                       3

On a mild morning at Beeston. Second place team Wollaton Hall met us in third place in what promised to be a close encounter. West Hallam were to carry on where they left off with another fantastic team performance.

1st Half

Within only a minute of kick-off after some excellent triangle passing play the ball was passed to Canvern who took a touch on the edge of the box and curled an excellent shot into the bottom corner. An excellent goal 1-0 West Hallam. It was West Hallam who continued to press searching for a second coming close on several occasions and but for some excellent saves by the Wollaton keeper who was brilliant throughout. West Hallam would have been out of sight. After around 20 minutes of constant pressure by West Hallam, Wollaton seemed to stem the attacking flow and with a rare bit of pressure of there own forced a corner. The corner was whipped in with pace and after a bit of a scramble it was hit into the net from close range by Wollaton 1-1. With the scores at 1-1 West Hallam then began to press again winning a corner on the stroke of half time. The corner was crossed in beautifully by the once again outstanding Aaron who was seemingly everywhere on the pitch. Riley lept like a salmon and with an outstanding header which left the keeper with no chance 2-1 West Hallam which was no more than they deserved, the whistle then blew for the end of the first half.

2nd Half

The second half continued in the same vain as the first with West Hallam pressing more and more and the Wollaton goalkeeper consistently keeping the score down with some amazing saves. West Hallam were still pressing hard however between the keeper and ref, they couldn't get a brake. George and Riley came close with two wonderful headers, however the pressure did pay off and after some brilliant build up Riley was put through after rounding the last defender poked it into the bottom corner past the Wollaton keeper 3-1. The goal then settled the nerves of the West Hallam faithful and meant that even after a shocking decision to award a free kick to Wollaton after a perfectly timed tackle by the rock steady defence, which Adam saved well in a seal like fashion, the fans all managed to crack a smile. The whistle then blows for full time, 3-1 West Hallam, which was to flatter Wollaton somewhat.

Another brilliant performance by all once again Aaron's being a highlight due to fantastic work ethic which seems to pulse through the whole team.

Well done boys again.

And a quick word to Jay and the coaches who have managed to mastermind wins over two of the divisions best in emphatic fashion.
Well Done guys Lee over to you mate.
