This was a game that could have easily gone wrong for the Rattlers, at least the Rattlers that aren’t focused on their roles as team players’ and focused on individual glory. Those Rattlers seem to not exist, and that’s the way it will have to be if we want to get by the next two games. But first things first, Pioneer at home!!! Game started with total domination and control of the ball, but very little on the offensive side of the field. The guys with the most touches in the first 14’of the game were Romi (#3), Milo (#4), Jr (#22), Tato (#26), and Martin (#15), and mostly on the defensive side of the pitch. What happened in the 15’ changed the entire way in which we chose to dominate. Roma SURPRISED everyone on the field and in the stands with a 35 yard long range shot that Jake (#1) absolutely thought was going over the crossbar. It was a thing of beauty, and they had every right to celebrate, especially since Pelon (#8) and company were about to crash their little brief celebration. It started in the 26’when Pelon received a nice ball from Papito (#6) to place the ball in the back of the net for the first goal. Then in the 29’, Papito partnered up with Gabo (#10) headed the second, and more importantly, the game winning goal. Then in the 32’, Gabo scored again (Unless someone tells me that Martin touched the ball), this time on a direct free kick that entered the bottom corner of the first post. By this time, Roma in their desperation to stop the bleeding, committed the own goal that might have summed up their night. They, Roma, were neither mad nor sad, they just seemed as if they wanted for the game to be over with. First half ended 4-1 in favor of Sharyland.

Second half started, and the Roma energy was being spent on defending only. The Rattlers once again won all the necessary battles; ball possession, passing, and scoring, as they worked hard to finish strong. In the 63’, Pelon received a ball from Tato to wonderfully strike a screamer past the hopeless goalkeeper and increase our score to 5-1. In the 67’ Tato finally got his goal, as he had been close on a few occasions throughout the night, when he headed a Miguel Garza sent ball in the back of the net to finish the scoring and winning the game 6-1.
