ROEBUCK WANDERERS v Stotfold Juniors

It’s another scorching October day at St Ippolyts and the crowd wait with anticipation to see how the players respond. No wind, but very hot and sunny.
The first half will have Roebuck running up hill into the sun from the bowling green end.
KICK OFF: 1235
1237 Goal kick headed on by Sean reaches keeper
1239 Stotfold win ball dribbling loses to RGY who kicks over the top headed by H back to RGY shoots wide. Ball played into penalty cleared by James D to RGY onto Sean v to Adam who shoots along the ground and well saved by Keeper.
1240 Sean V beats several players takes a shot, the ball beats the keeper hits the back of the net. GOAL! SCORE: 1 - O
1241 Re start, ball kicked long to the near corner flag area Sean V cuts out the ball and in to touch for a throw in, ball is recovered by Sean V and takes a long range shot from just inside others half and goes wide and into touch, opponents throw in.
Throw in and player heads towards our goal, James D runs back to cover and clears for another throw in. The throw in is taken and a race is on Josh B races to the ball and boots it out to touch for safety. Josh has a great start to his exploits as keeper.
1243 There then follows a couple of minutes of ping pong football between the two sides, much better determination and belief in themselves ending up with a corner being conceded by H who plays safe and out for corner near side.
1244 Corner taken by 15Yellow cleared by Jack loses out to 7 Yellow who kicks into touch.. Sean V takes the throw into Jack M cleared by keeper to Sean V to Omar, who loses the ball recovered by Sean V, penalty box scramble ensues resulting in injury to Adam and ball into touch far side by away team supporters. Good pressure by Roebuck such a change. Throw in by Roebuck and kicked to keeper who comes out and collects.
1246 High kick out of hands straight to Sean S who controls well and passes to RGY who is tackled by 4Y and ball goes out for throw in. Taken and reaches Omar whom uses his power well and has two attempts on goal and blocked both times it re bounds out to RGY who tries and lob the keeper who back pedals and saves.
Goal kick taken won by Yellow but foul awarded, free kick taken by 4Y headed away by Jack M to Sean V who crosses and is headed wide by Jack M for goal kick.
1247 Goal kick taken by 2Y long high and over the top of all Roebuck players Yellow forward tries a volley and is well saved by Josh.
1247 Goal kick to middle of park headed on by RGY to Adam who is fouled, Play stops
DRINK BREAK
1249 Poor free kick taken runs along the ground cleared by 6Y reaches RGY who passes to Adam who crosses to Omar who misses the volley and balls goes out for Goal kick.
1250 Goal kick taken by yellows challenged by a fired up Omar sadly ball not out of area and free kick award against Omar,. Free kick by Yellow headed by Sean V and out of play by 7Y
1251 Throw taken received via H who plays the ball wide to Adam near side tackled by Y out for another throw
1251 throw in by Y kicked forward Josh races out of box and kicks clear for throw in.
1252 Y throw in Adam clears and another throw in
1252 Y throw in chased by Y player but is cleverly ushered and shielded out of play for Roebuck goal kick
James D takes goal kick headed on by RGY to Sean V who chases his own ball; Y keeper runs out and clears the ball for another throw in taken and lost by Roebuck
1254 Yellow player through the middle into penalty area only Josh to beat, chased by James D who tries a last ditch saving tackle from behind but is alleged by the ref to have pushed the player over Penalty awarded.
1255 5Y steps up to take the penalty, shots blasts a shot high into the top of the net GOAL

1257 Roebuck to SUBS and 6Y also substituted
1258 Restart headed by James D towards the corner. Ball lost and a long through ball by Y sadly 2 players caught off side Free Kick to Roebuck.
RGY takes free kick 6Y collects and clears for throw in, Sean V takes loses and then gives away a free kick for push in back near side line.
5Y takes free kick straight to RGY kicks wide to Omar who is beaten by Y and cleared to Sean V who runs to corner tackled and out for corner.
1300 Corner by Alex back header by RGY to Sean V who shoots high and over the cross bar Goal Kick
1301 DRINKS BREAK
Teams are allowed to rest and get a pep talk
1303 Restart goal kick to Y Sean V heads ball backwards in error chased by Y saved by James D who concedes a throw in, quickly taken but rescued by Adam who kicks up field but no one expected it. Y clears the ball but too quickly and their player is captured off side.
Free kick taken by H to Sean V whom passes back to H who passes to Adam who drives a shot low towards the goal and saved at the base of the upright. Goal kick by Stotfold runs straight to RGY, who kicks into touch, throw by 12Y to 20Y to Reagan who flicks the ball on.
1306 Good flowing football both sides Reagan passes to Chris and attempts to return to Reagan but is caught offside.
1307 Free Kick to Stotfold, over the top again cleared by RGY and Roebuck player waved offside then ignored by ref and ball eventually goes out of play. Ball played forward by Stotfold and goes through to Josh.
Good clearance by Josh to Jack M in midfield passes to Sean V passes to Chris who misses his pass and ball is cleared over the top by Stotfold and chase is in by Josh and 9Y to get there first Josh wins the ball
1307 Kicked out by Josh Stotfold again do the up and over kick and chased by 5y James D makes a saving tackle Stotfols win loose ball and kick over the top. Roebuck goal kick
1308 Goal kick taken by James D chased by Chris and wins a throw in, taken by Reagan to Sean V who passes back to Omar dribbles past several players but loses at last second as no one comes to support him, ball goes loose collected by RGY and he blasts wide.
1309 Goal kick challenge by Roebuck and out for throw to Roebuck on far side of pitch. Throw in taken and ball crossed won by Alex followed by goalmouth scramble cleared by Stotfold then for another throw in to Stotfold, Taken by 6Y retrieved by Sean V who centres to RGY passes to Reagan who kicks and is collected by Goal keeper.
1311 Sub Sean S off Adam on. There then followed a period of pin ball football in the middle of the park with no side winning control. Ball eventually goes out for Roebuck throw in taken by Chris up to Adam runs towards to goal collected by keeper and cleared out James D runs back heads to Josh who clears the ball and kicks out for Stotfold throw in. Taken by 12Y to 15Y heads back to 12Y who blasts the ball high and wide. Goal Kick.
1313 Goal kick by Sean V won by Alex who controls ball runs straight on B line for goal supported by other Roebuck player? Shoots and beats the goal keeper

1313 Restart ball runs through to Josh who ends up injured and ball goes wide for goal kick
1313 Goal kick by Sean V overtop to H passes to Reagan rushes down wing but loses out in tackle. Ball bounces lose and is picked up by Adam who is hassled by 20Y, Out for Stotfold throw.
1317 Play stopped for injury when restarts drop ball Sean V passes ball back to Stotfold keeper,. Goal kick won by H who passes to Adam to Sean V runs down nearside wins throw in, Sean V takes tro Adam who tries to pass back but too hard, Sean cannot reach, ball out for throw to Stotfold.
1318 Whistle blows.

1324 KICK OFF
The ball is again played over the top by Stotfold but players caught off side free kick awarded.
RGY takes the kick high to Alex in box blasts ball into keeper and out for corner. Keeper down injured after both players collide.
This is more like it more Passion and determination this week than seen for some time
Keeper eventually gets to his feet warmly applauded by both sides.
Alex takes corner, passed out by Sean to H who kicks wide and out.
Stotfold take throw in reached RGY who attempts volley but miss kicks.
1327 Stotfold have ball runs round keeper but is hassled by H , shoots hits post and out for goal kick.
Goal kick taken by Sean V, over top chased by Alex down the wing, he centres to Adam who is unmarked but he shoots wide. Goal kick.
1328 Poor goal kick only reaches Sean V who kicks to wing on far side ball crossed Alex raises leg up and ball is in the back of net. GOAL

1331 Alex crosses ball cleared out crosses back again this time Sean V receives blasts the ball into the net GOAL

1332 The action leaing to the goal was missed by the roving reporter but 9Y scores GOAL

1332 Roebuck restart short pass to Jack who dribbles passed several loses ball ending with RGY hoofing the ball out of the park for a home run (LOST BALL)
1333 Throw in by Stotfold race down line cross to idle and saved by Josh, thow out to Sean V pass to Adam to Sean out to RGY who passes to Adam but caught off side.
SUBS Omar OFF Regan ON
1336 Free Kick. Taken by Jack targets Regan who passes back to Jack who shoots and ball saved by Stotfold Keeper.
Ball passed to wing chased by Ollie who collects but loses Stotfold run towards to goal and challenged by RGY who forces player to put ball in touch goal kick.
RGY takes goal kick passes to Alex back heads and ball charged down and races towards the Roebuck goal Josh makes 2 marvellous saves.
Stotfold are captured offside.
1337 free kick taken by RGY hand ball by Jack M. Free kick by 4Y straight to Sean V to Regan who tries to tap past keeper who saves the shot.
1339 Stotfold score again GOAL

1341 Offside call error drop ball RGY to Sean Vits runs to the corner where he holds up play and force Stotfold to concede a throw in.
1347 Shot by Jack M flies over the top of the cross bar.
1349 balled passed to Alex who runs down the wing beats a couple of tackles cuts in towards goal
1350 shoots and brings out a fine save by the Stotfold keeper ball goes out for Roebuck corner. Corner collected and kicked out free kicked awarded to Stotfold for high boot. Wasted.
Ollie runs down the line long pass to Alex who kicks wide Goal kick.
1353 Again Ollie and Jack combine well again Jack shoots over the top
1355 Long goal kick chased by Ollie and kicked into touch for throw in to Stotfold
Reagan chases the throw in tackles wins ball and passes to Sean V tackled and ball goes out Throw in to Roebuck.
1355 Foul throw by Sean V. Throw retaken by Stotfold.
1356 Jack M wins the ball back and agin brings out a great save from Stotfold Keeper out for corner
1358 Corner taken by Alex won by RGY back heads and caught by keeper. Kicked out back head by Sean V H gets to it first and lays the bal down the wing for Adam to chase, Stotfold win the ball Chris tackles and ball out for throw in.
Again, several minutes of midfield action again no one side coming out on top for midfield supremacy ends up with Josh making another good save.
Josh launches the ball down the pitch won by Reagan who runs into the corner to hold the ball up and wins a throw in on near side long range shot by Sean V goes wide of left hand side post.
1402 10 mins left tom play
Poor goal kick by Stotfold keeper goes to Jack who heads the ball to Alex who shoots from 25 yards and goes wide of right post
