Red House Park was again the venue for the mighty Addy, this week entertaining the team from Tipton that doesn't mind a bit of wet weather.
Coach old bloke sent out a strong looking starting X1 with the Trev stepping in to bolster the defence.
Bell returned and took his place warming the bench alongside the oldest bloke still signed up in the league A.Harvey.
The day started badly for N.Parry, getting himself locked in Harveys van while searching for pre match pork pies and cans of cheap lager.
Coach old bloke sparked up his first of many fags, Harvey lumbered down the line and shaky shook with his new twin Ashley.
A lively start by the Addy was rewarded with the opening goal by Mcfarlane. Edmunds swung in the cross and the big man was there with a bullet header, 1-0 to the Addy.
1-0 soon turned to 2 when stocky lad C.Freer turned in a Cottrell centre to tap in from 2 yards.
A goal line clearance by Parry ensured the scorline stayed 2-0 and coach old bloke was able to give pats on the back at the break. Ouch.
With the coaches half time words ringing in the ears, well maybe not L.Freers, the Addy carried on the good work of the first half, piling on the pressure with Tipton defence cracking and giving away a penalty.
Up stepped Mcfarlane with a rasping right foot thunderbolt and again the onion bag was found. 3-0 to the Addy.
In years gone by the foot may have been taken off the gas, but not this Addy, this Addy has youth, strength, good looks and A.Harvey for back up!
The strength was showing when C.Freer started boiling, sleeves rolled up, pigeon chest out, and one angry stare.
The tackles were getting stronger and L.Freer followed up from brother C.Freer earlier spat with a tantrum of his own, Great Barrs answer to the Krays.
Edmunds showboating helped turn up the heat, and he too felt the thud of a stray boot or 2.
But the Addy kept their composure and added a 4th, with Cottrell netting his 1st of the day. Barrett sent him through, maybe a hint of offside, but Harvey saw nothing wrong, and he slotted home from close range.
4-0 up and cruising, but Tipton didn't give up and pulled one back, 4-1.
The defence were not going to crumble and Cattell pulled out a body check known as "The Trev" to all, to stop the biggest bloke on the pitch dead in his tracks. The ball broke free and Cottrell chased it down with a jump against the keeper and proved that white men can't jump. 5-1 to the Addy.
Bell came on for C.Freer, still wound up from his earlier square off and Barrett moved up front, with Edmunds taking a free roll in the middle.
A loose ball by Edmunds let Tipton to make it 5-2, which was followed by another closely after. 5-3.
But still this new Addy wasn't finished. Mcfarlane was hungry for his hat-trick, and great following up from a shot by Barrett resulted in his first ever hat-trick. Not only that, his 3rd came from the left peg, a perfect hat-trick.
Tipton still weren't done and grabbed one back moments later. 6-4
Back came the Addy again, and Eggington strode forward with purpose, tried his luck from 30 yards, nice bounce in front of the keeper, right on the spot he aimed for and the net was found again.
7-4 it remained, even Kiernan was happy today. One perfect hat-trick, 7 goals and 3 points to keep up the pressure at the top of the league.
