Real came into this game with their heads held high from last week’s performance, it would be a tough ask for the players but everyone seemed confident.
The manager went 4-5-1 with Cheese dropping to left mid, and Alfie starting up front alone.
Sompting started well seeing a lot of the ball, putting pressure on the defence from the off
On 18minutes Sompting were rewarded a throw in, the defence didn’t deal with it and the ball was flicked on leaving the keeper on his own vs 2 strikers 1-0 Sompting
Heads didn’t drop, Real trying to get back into the game passing the ball round.
On 27minutes the ball was played over the defences heads, linesman missing the offside 2-0 Sompting.
On 35minutes Sompting were rewarded a corner after some good play, ball played into the box and flapped at by the keeper leaving a striker to poke it into the net 3-0 Sompting.
It wasn’t a bad half from real, played some good football but the defending was poor all round as the goals could have been avoided.

On 50minutes Josh took a goal kick going straight to the Sompting striker no one reacted 4-0 Sompting.
Reals heads started to drop, tried getting back into the game but Sompting just piling on the pressure.
On 55minutes Sompting got a freekick on the edge of the box, clipped the wall landing in the bottom corner 5-0 Sompting.
On 62minutes Josh gave away a penalty, Sompting player blasting the ball over the bar..a big let off!

On 69minutes the ball was played through to the striker, Reals poor defending again leaving the score 6-0

On 90minutes the linesman missing another offside, Real stood and watched as Sompting scored the 7th

Manager: played well in places, a hard task against last seasons champions. A few of us didn’t have our best game and against a team like Sompting you’ll always get found out. At least we kept going and stayed together as a team, we have a few more games like this to contend with so hopefully we can learn from our mistakes and improve throughout the season.
