Preds lined up in a 2-3-1 formation, designed to provide a solid defensive base while allowing for fluid attacking play. Ronnie B took his position as the goalkeeper, with George A and Kodie R forming a robust central defensive partnership. In midfield, Reid H operated on the right, while Arlo B occupied the left flank, both tasked with supporting the attack and tracking back defensively. Central to the midfield was Cal B, who was expected to orchestrate play and link up with the striker, Jude L, who led the line upfront.
