Everything looke against us yesterday again we started the match with 10 men waiting on Stanic, couldnt do any changes and put a sub on as the team sheets were away and ive i did so it ment that i was making a change so i couldnt have put Stanic on when he arrived, we played for 15 minutes with ten men and worked hard even had a couple of chances we werent against the ropes, after 15 min we conceded a goal, just after that we finally got the man missing in the park, we conceded another goal, we were a bit shaky making silly mistakes that and they were punishing us maybe due to the tension and the build up stress from previous weeks my shouts were not the best but they were never attacking anybody or insulting, just giving instruccions i admit maybe not in the best manner and i will be taking a more positive approach, saying that i thought you all know i tell you when you do something wrong but im the first to congratulate you when you do it right or have a good game, i encourage every individual everytime you do something right, i get frustrated many times i do but only cos im passionate about it.
five minutes after we got a penalty and Barra scored making sure nobody takes him off the penalties and jsut before half time we managed to score again, Stanic this time after a a bit of a scramble from a barras cross we were back in the game.
Second half came and the fight and the spirit was fenomenal, every single one of you were outstanding, well deserved, I never do this but i would like to give a special mention to 2 players Stevie Mckinnon and Martin Rutherford, Stevie was once again fenomenal he kept us in the game and some of the saves he made were out of this world, playing thru pain as you all do many times, well done and Martin after seeing himself in the bench after being at training making games and seeing other team mates getting in the team sheet before him had to be upseting as a coach i was keeping him there because i thought he would give me more options being the only sub and he responded coming on after 20 min had what in my opinion was his best or one of the best games hes ever played for us, great in midfield brilliant.
but everyone did well Clarky playing upfront run huimself to the ground, Barra once again giving his 1000% ended up injured, hope is a speedy recovery mate, Martin Reid coming back to the team after being away give us that someting special on the left great understanding with Murphy and great going forward, Kev the midfield maestro what can i say about him apart from Stevies sore ribs were caused by kevs elbow after he founf out stevie bagged the man of the match lol youre the experience, encouraging team mates talking to them, excellent, Murphy excellent game the best ive seen you played great defending, solid, Jamie won every high ball that came his way, showing the making of a good centre half, Sandy some effort after a few weeks away coming back and playing 90 min and keep digging well done, Stanic, once again scoring and even pressing and running i think he might be just a tad sore today lol, well done and Mark Gillespie well done its not many players with the courage and passion that you have in the park 1000 per cent all the time doesnt matter if is a friendly, a cup, training... well done!!
For those missing you'll need to come back and work your socks off cos this guys have set the bar quite high.
Then penalties came uffffff we can safely say i was the best one lol, well done lads thats the spirit, keep it up and take this spirit into every game from now on.
