peartree fc take on afc piper for there first league game of the season
pear tree line consisted with phil in goals back four bicko harvey pricey and mel midfield was jna cyps sam and danny lyth with matty and danny wood strikers,
harv won the toss and decided to shoot against the wind first half , we had our work cut out aa afc piper looked a tall strong organised team ,the game got under way and peartree on top with piper trying to use the wind which didnt work pricey and harvey lapped it up .
pipers threats came from corners they just towered over us but we was coping very well, took bicko and jona a short while to get into the game but once they did right back n right mid was solid and they both clicked and worked well same for lythy n mel on the left.
we had our chances of corners pricey coming close of header cyps doing a mark hughes esq volley just going slighty wide danny lyth and matt harvey also causing problems just not getting the final product.
roughly 26 mins in the ball has dropped inside pipers box and fell to danny lyth cyps had massive part in blocking keepers view lyth tapped it in to make 1-0 peartree, the peartree lads on high now and piper responded by by continuing the long ball over the top phil was loving this as the ball was running to him everytime we unite as a team and muck in to keep 1-0 at half time
the game kicked of the 2cnd half now we have the wind to our advantage greengrass and tom carter made 1 sub at half time, luke allen replaced danny lyth ,
and luke made an impact strait away by slowing the game down with his control bringing cyps into the game and sam allowing free play from them
the game is getting bit aggressive as tackles started to get stronger with danny wood sam and luke all taking bad knocks
another sub was made jona replaced by young promising jordan strait on the right we got a foul just inside pipers half towards the touch pricey places the ball down to hear greengrass shout hit danny wood , danny wood has made his run infront of the keeper the ball swung in missed everyone danny gone for but quite get to it and its just gone in 2-0 to peartree everyone including me was shocked but well deserved to be 2-0
piper putting pressure on to get back in they had a corner one of there big lads got with header towards back post an was going in only for mel to jump up and keep it of the line just before being replaced by scott aston
peartree trying hard to keep piper out , piper gets another corner and as were picking our players in the box they took a short corner plaid it to the back post for a tap in 2-1 with 11 minutes left pricey and harvey crank it up notch tackling all over the place .
the game finished 2-1 well battled win for the peartree fc
man of the match harvey was just solid and very rarely got troubled and now peartree looking forward to there first derby next sunday against peartree utd aka rugeley rangers
