MSB Woolton adopted a 4-3-3 formation, which allowed them to maintain a strong defensive line while also providing ample support for their forwards. Shortly after, in the 35th minute, Oscar R replaced Charlie C, just before the half-time whistle blew, signalling the end of a dominant first half for the home side.

As the second half commenced, MSB Woolton continued to apply pressure on the Heron Junior defence. Their persistence paid off in the 39th minute when Stan P doubled the lead. A well-executed team move culminated in a precise cross from Alex Y, which Stan converted with his left foot, sending the home crowd into raptures.

No long after the 2nd goal Heron had continued to push a get a few half chances for themselves, on the 47th minute they got a free kick some 20 yards out and hit a great shot only to be denied by a great leaping save from Toby to protect his clean sheet.

On the 54th minute Woolton won the ball back and Oscar quickly sported the run of Max who he picked out with a delightful ball, Max shown some quick feet to creat himself some space to get a strong shot off but the keeper pulled off a show stopping save to palm it over the bar.

The final goal of the match came in the 60th minute, when George T showcased his finishing ability with a stunning volley, further extending the lead to 3-0. The striker's left-footed effort left the Heron Junior goalkeeper with no chance, sealing a comprehensive victory for MSB Woolton.

In the 65th minute Charlie got the ball deep in the opposition corner and used some slick footwork to nutmeg the defender and dribble into the box before cutting the ball back to max who was unfortunate not to score as it cannoned off the bar.
