Its finally here the long anticipated 2011-2012 season! Marstons v Ormesby CTP.

It looks like its going to be a good game today as marstons begin there second season with new faces, Holding promising performances, The build up to this long awaited game has been unbareable.

Marstons get underway and beging the game with countless attacks.

Andrew skerm takes a sidekick volley straight at the goal it looks like a certain goal, But its blocked off the line by a ormesby defender, who seems to have hand balled it, the referee gives nothing.

the ball falls perfectly to danny robinsons feet, who hits it with a spectacular volley, it heads straight towards the goal but decieves everyone and goes over.

Gregory jordan plays the ball straight to matthew roberts who finds a gap in the defence, he burts straight threw but goes to far he looks up for andrew skerm whos screaming for the ball, but it deflects out for a corner, the referee gives a goal kick!

the game has calmed down a little as ormesby have the ball they continuesly pass and move amungst the marstons midfield and defence but are stopped by man of the match richard aspland who clears the ball.

danny robinson sees matthew roberts making a superb run, he picks him out, but Ormesby's keeper comes out to punch the ball away and connects with matthew.

Marstons seem to have all the possesion but are unable to find the net. Ormesby dont seem to be in the game.

andrew skerm makes a belting run towards the goal, he knocks the ball a bit to far forward and his legs are taken from him by the ormesby defender but the referee gives nothing!

andrew skerm makes another superb run, he looks up to try and find a player, gregory jordan is shouting for the pass, but its put out for a corner kick by the ormesby defender.

Ormesby make a dash forward seems they have a bit of spirit in the attack but it amits to nothing as luke timney is quick to retreive the ball.

Ormesby play the ball over the top and there is a head to head clash between karl henry and richard aspland the ball is put out for a corner.

Warren watson is playing centre defensive mid today and hes done nothing but battle to win every possesion of the ball, it all pays off when he plays a superb ball over the top to andrew skerm, who does a fancy bit of footwork aginst the ormesby defence, plays the ball to gregory jordan who puts it over.

Marstons have been the dominant team this half but have been unsuccessful to score a goal. Ormesby have played well to keep the ball away from the back of there net.

Ormesby make one last attack before the end of the half, they play the ball well between the marstons team and what seems to be a shot ends up looking like a cross, nothing becomes of it but a marstons goal kick.

Marstons get straight underway with some well timed pass between the defence, from karl henry to kevin dodds, who finds christan bowtell potter this half looks proising.

Danny robinson finds matthew roberts who makes a darting run on the outside of the box, the ormesby defender doesnt look pleased and goes in with a two footed tackle wiping matthew of his feet, referee gives a pealty to marstons. was it in the box? or not?

Christan bowtell potter steps up for the penalty, nerves are showing, he hits the bal with all the composure in the worldand finds the bottom left corner leaving the keeper with an impossible shot to save! Marstons 1-0 Ormesby CTP.

Marstons have came into this half with a complete different attitude to the first they want goals and they want them now!

The ball is played superbly well up the pitch by marstons, who seem to drag all the ormesby defence to one side leaving matthew roberts un marked, the ball is played to him and all his has to do is head it into the back of the net. Marstons 2-0 Ormesby.

Superb game by Kevin dodds, he held his own all game and kept his composure through out.

the game has completely been a marstons game with numorous attacks on the ormesby defence. Ormesby do well to keep marstons from scoring more goals but how long will it last.

Andrew has played suprising well, with a massive improvement to his fitness.

Ormesby press against marstons with everything to play for but the fresh legs of Jamie bradley keep them at bay.

Marstons seem to have lost concentration as ormesby keep attacking, but the attacks amit to nothing.

Fresh start for matthew roberts this season as he gets a goal for his tally and shows a 90% work rate!

There is confusion in the marstons defence as a player is left unmarked leading to ormesby scoring a volley off a corner. Marstons 2-1 Ormesby.

Ormesby see a clear oppertunity now to try and get the point and attack the marstons defense with plenty of passing, but they are stopped by centre back andy feilds who seems to be having a superb game!

Anthony aspland finds the ball, he plays a simple 1-2 between shaun and himself, but there is a missunderstanding between the lads and ormesby clear it.

Danny robinson makes another superb run and he gets his shot off, it is cleared only to shaun whitehead who takes the ball down and hits it, it takes a slight deflection off the ormesby defender and finds the net. Marstons 3-1 Ormesby.

90 min

The final ttack is led by ormesby who make a suprising run at the marstons defence but they are stopped by richard aspland who clears the ball from any danger.

The marstons man of the match goes to richard aspland for his outstanding performance in centre back, his commitment to the team and his understand of the game, he played and he listened well making every right decision. Well Done!
