With Madeley villa looking to step up to the next level they went out and recruited the young and very talented Craig jones from all saints under 16s who he made amazing with several moving to Telford Shrewsbury ect.
Craig with his new attacking take no shit attitude has battled with egos and overrated players removing several of them from his squad aidy fletch leafy lol.
With many thinking the new manager was crazy he never doubted that the quality was there and just a few additions of the right players the team would excel.
Colin Markland a former goal machine in this league has now dropped to a cm role which raised eyebrows. ...
And with nutter not available and several away with piles issues.
Gave others the chance to shine.
With a new keeper in banks who doesn't no the defence well and both starting strikers away and also exciting young player Callum Taylor being grounded lol.
The match against rose and crown was a big test.
The game started off very tight with Craig's team slightly shading the first 20 mins then stu Holmes controlled a diagonal ball fell over and scuffed the ball off a player into the net.
He then cheekily tried to claim the goal but seriously he took the goal really well.
Then smieles with a stunning bit of skill got brutally assaulted in the box with the goal at his mercy and the ref awarded us a penalty and a Gbh charge on there keeper.
Markland the team veteran put down his walking stick and hobbled farward thinking I can get my 1 goal this season right now and confidently shinned the ball home to make it 2-0.
As half time approached rose tried to raise there game but the defence stood tall.
Then striker Steele the Darren Anderton of Sunday league was struck down and with limited options on the bench a rb and lb jones shocked the team by putting lb Exroy up front and brought on dan at lb.
with the crowd ie nutter showing disapproval jones stick to his guns.
Half time then came and jones was impressed but stressed nothing was won yet.
Second half Madeley weren't the same rosé raised there game and with some brilliant goal keeping banks kept them in the lead stop after stop after stop until he was eventually beaten by what looked like a 1 direction member .
Jones then threw on peters with a mission dnt let them past you then the final whistle blew and the fairy tale start was achieved for the Madeley villa boys.
With players coming back and the new managers vision and lack of respect for people who bitch and moan and his willingness to drop any player this team could go far but we will see next week.
