The league winners Dunipace Juniors arrived at Linlithgow with a new squad, quite different to last years but with also some new signings such as Callum Macrae who originally left Linlithgow Rose at the end of season 2012/2013. The linlithgow team looked sharp from the start and looking better than last year. From kick off there wasn't much between the teams other than a couple of chances for Linlithgow which weren't seen off. In all it seemed to be Linlithgow's last pass/end product which was keeping Dunipace in the game. The strikers for Dunipace never caused much trouble for the defenders with Fraser Law giving Callum Macrae no mercy and Cameron McCall holding the back line nicely. At half time the scoreline was still 0-0. Straight from kick off in the second half Linlithgow pressed hard and fast onto the Dunipace players giving them little time even for their first touch. The match continued like this and after a couple of subs goals emerged. It was Jordan Hamiltons low free kick which found the ball landing on Rohan Dickson's head to tap the ball in. Great set piece. It was then Jake Percivals (substitute) who had a long range strike after Mike Adams sent him through one on one with a switch of play which happened to have a bit of luck with a deflection from a defender and the keeper messing up the save. 2-0 Linlithgow. Safe to say Fraser Law's performance rightfully earned him man of the match. Great start to the season and even more to come! HTG
