In a stunning display of football prowess, Lads Club U12 faced off against Toros Twisters U12 at Belmont Abbey on 2nd March 2025, kicking off at 10:30 am. The match concluded with an emphatic scoreline of 12-0, showcasing Lads Club's dominance throughout the game.

Lads Club adopted a 2-5-1 formation, with Albert Ferneyhough in goal, flanked by central defenders Archie Rigby and Romeo Roberts. The midfield was packed with five players: Chase Bracegirdle on the right, Charlie Arnold on the left, and a central trio of Theo Lewis, Lucas Price, and Charlie Swain. Up front, Thomi Scoular led the line as the sole striker. This setup allowed for a fluid attacking style, with the midfielders expected to support both the defence and the attack, creating numerous opportunities for Scoular.

The substitutes for Lads Club included Oscar Jones, Bodhi Round, Finn Jones, Musa Touray, and Flyn Watkins, providing depth and tactical flexibility for the team as the match progressed.

The match began with an early attempt from Thomi Scoular in the third minute, but his shot went wide, signalling Lads Club's intent. Just a minute later, Charlie Arnold made a long pass that created a chance, demonstrating the team's attacking ambition. Theo Lewis followed suit with another attempt in the fifth minute, but his effort also went wide.

However, it was Lucas Price who broke the deadlock in the fifth minute, tapping in a goal from close range after a long pass from Chase Bracegirdle. The momentum continued as Charlie Arnold scored shortly after, in the sixth minute, capitalising on a goalmouth scramble with a right-footed finish from a short pass by Thomi Scoular.

Lads Club maintained their pressure, with Arnold attempting another shot in the ninth minute, which was saved by the Toros Twisters' goalkeeper. Archie Rigby showcased his defensive skills in the eleventh minute, intercepting a potential chance for the opposition.

Lucas Price struck again in the thirteenth minute, scoring from inside the box to extend the lead. Thomi Scoular added to the tally in the fourteenth minute, volleying home a cross from Chase Bracegirdle, demonstrating the team's attacking fluidity.

A series of substitutions occurred in the fifteenth minute, with Musa Touray, Finn Jones, Bodhi Round, and Oscar Jones entering the fray, replacing Bracegirdle, Arnold, Lewis, and Scoular respectively. This fresh injection of players did not slow Lads Club's momentum, as Finn Jones had a shot saved shortly after entering the pitch. Musa Touray struck a shot in the outside of his right foot in the 23rd minute that bobbled over the keeper as he dived to save it.

The first half concluded with Lads Club leading 5-0, Archie and Romeo had a quiet first half but we're able to deal with any attacking moves by the opposition but the second half promised more excitement. The second half began with further substitutions who could mix up the play and Charlie Arnold made an appearance on the defensive line.

Bodhi Round continued to press for a goal but was denied by the Toros Twisters' goalkeeper in the thirty-first minute. Oscar Jones then scored in the thirty-third minute, finishing a goalmouth scramble after a short pass from Lucas Price.

Thomi Scoular scored again in the thirty-seventh minute, volleying home from close range following another assist from Bracegirdle. Lucas Price then added his third goal in the thirty-ninth minute, scoring from inside the box after another fine cross from Chase, showcasing his confidence and skill.

The scoring continued as Finn Jones netted a solo goal just after the break in the forty-sixth minute, followed by Oscar Jones scoring another in the forty-seventh minute, making it 10-0.

As the match progressed, Oscar Jones made a key pass in the forty-eighth minute, creating yet another opportunity. However, a missed penalty by Oscar Jones in the forty-third minute, saved by the goalkeeper, was a rare blemish on an otherwise perfect performance.

The final stages of the match saw Thomi Scoular score a couple more goals his fourth goal in the fifty-eighth minute, capping off a phenomenal performance. The match ended with a staggering score of 12-0, a testament to Lads Club's dominance and attacking prowess throughout the game.
