In a commanding display of football, Lads Club Juniors secured a resounding 12-1 victory over Belmont U12 Hammers in their league home match at Hereford Lads Club on 15 September 2024. The match, which kicked off at 10:40 am, showcased the home side's attacking prowess and tactical superiority, leaving the visitors struggling to keep pace throughout the encounter.

From the outset, Lads Club Juniors dominated the match, quickly establishing their rhythm and creating numerous chances but the first goal came early from Belmont Hammers opening the scoring in the 10th minute. This goal was a result of a well-executed team move, showcasing the away side's fluid attacking play. Just three minutes later, Oscar Jones found the back of the net, converting a well executed throw from Charlie Swain with a precise left-footed shot from close range.

As the first half continued, Lads Club Juniors maintained their relentless pressure, with Thomi Scoular scoring a tap-in in the 19th minute, assisted by Fin Jones. Scoular was in fine form, adding to his tally shortly after, netting another goal in the 23rd minute following a short pass from Charlie Arnold. The home side's attacking display was relentless, and Scoular completed his hat-trick with a well-placed shot in the 25th minute, further extending the lead.

The second half saw Lads Club Juniors continue their dominance, with Thomi Scoular adding another goal shortly after the restart. His right-footed strike from just inside the box showcased his finishing ability. The scoring spree continued as Thomi Scoular added two more goals to his impressive tally to complete a double hat trick, the boy has been a scoring machine this weekend. Charlie Swain found the net in the 46th minute, following a well-timed assist from Mali Lewis.

Despite running the length of the pitch to take a penalty Lucas Price fired it wide in the 54th minute, this was unknown for the skillful keeper but Lads Club remained unfazed and quickly found their rhythm again. Oscar Jones scored his second goal of the match in the 55th minute, demonstrating his poaching instincts inside the box. Chase Bracegirdle then joined the scoring party with a long-range strike in the 58th minute. As the match drew to a close, Lads Club Juniors continued to press forward, with Fin Jones and Charlie Swain both contributing to the scoreline, ensuring a comprehensive victory. The final whistle confirmed a staggering 12-1 scoreline, a testament to Lads Club Juniors attacking flair and teamwork. The scoreline could have been even more demoralising for the away team if it had not been for an on form keeper for Belmont Hammers.

The match not only highlighted the individual talents within the Lads Club Juniors squad but also showcased their ability to work cohesively as a unit, leaving Belmont U12 Hammers with much to ponder as they regroup for their next fixture. Although Lads Club Juniors are playing up a year they are showing the U12 league that they mean business. Apart from the slow start Lads Club Juniors showed a flawless performance especially from Archie, Louis and Romeo at the back through to the double hat trick of Thomi.

Player of the match today was a tough decision but Mali came away with the award after showing an impressive performance down the right wing.
