In a commanding display, Labyrinth Ladies triumphed over Ikemeleng Ladies with a resounding 4-1 victory in a friendly match held at Orbit College Rustenburg on 22 March 2025. The match kicked off at 2:00 PM and saw a modest attendance of 40 spectators, all treated to an exhibition of skill and teamwork from the visitors.

Labyrinth Ladies lined up in a 4-3-3 formation, designed to maximise their attacking prowess while maintaining a solid defensive structure. Tsagae Bonolo took her place in goal, shielded by a back four consisting of General S Stars on the right, Mushuku Angelina and Ditau Letlhogonolo in central defence, and Pax S Stars on the left. The midfield trio featured Kgwebane Elizabeth on the right, Motlhame Future in the centre, and Mosele Ashley on the left, providing both creativity and support to the forwards. Up front, Gomolemo Neymar and Penyenye Keamogetswe occupied the flanks, with Mosepele Lesedi leading the line as the central striker. The substitutes included Rorisang Mbethe.

The match began with Labyrinth Ladies asserting their dominance early on. In the 15th minute, Mosepele Lesedi made a brilliant slide rule pass that carved open the Ikemeleng defence, creating a clear opportunity. Just a minute later, the breakthrough came as Kgwebane Elizabeth capitalised on the chance, scoring from close range with her right foot after receiving an assist from Lesedi.

As the first half progressed, Labyrinth continued to apply pressure, and in the 26th minute, Gomolemo Neymar doubled their lead with a stunning long-range strike, assisted by Penyenye Keatlaretswe. The ball flew past the Ikemeleng goalkeeper, sending the Labyrinth supporters into raptures.

With the score at 2-0, the half-time whistle blew shortly after the 17.5-minute mark, allowing both teams to regroup. The second half commenced with Labyrinth Ladies looking to extend their lead, and they did just that in the 44th minute. Pax S Stars found the back of the net with another long-range effort, this time set up by Penyenye Keamogetswe, further solidifying Labyrinth's control of the match.

A tactical substitution was made at the start of the second half as Rorisang Mbethe replaced Mosele Ashley, aiming to maintain the momentum. Just two minutes later, in the 47th minute, Gomolemo Neymar struck again, this time with a volley that left the Ikemeleng defence reeling.

Despite the onslaught, Ikemeleng Ladies managed to find a consolation goal in the 52nd minute. A well-executed solo effort saw one of their players score from close range, but it was too little, too late as Labyrinth maintained their composure and continued to dominate the match.

Defensively, Labyrinth Ladies were resolute, with General S Stars making a crucial clearance in the 37th minute to prevent a potential goal-scoring opportunity for Ikemeleng. Similarly, Mushuku Angelina showcased her defensive prowess with another vital clearance in the 50th minute, ensuring that the scoreline remained in their favour.

As the final whistle blew, Labyrinth Ladies celebrated a comprehensive 4-1 victory, showcasing their attacking flair and solid defensive organisation throughout the match. The result not only reflects their preparation for the season ahead but also serves as a testament to their growing prowess on the pitch.
