In a commanding display of football, Iwade Herons Rovers triumphed over Milton And Fulston Utd U7 Zebras with a resounding scoreline of 10-2 in their league encounter held on 17 November 2024.

The match took place in Rodmersham, and showcased the Rovers' attacking prowess and tactical superiority throughout the 40-minute contest. Iwade Herons Rovers adopted a 1-3 formation, with Felix Jackson stationed as the goalkeeper. The defensive responsibilities fell to Kaden Evans, who played centrally, while William Payne and Cooper Woodhouse took up positions on the left and right flanks, respectively. Finley Adams operated as a central forward, tasked with spearheading the attack and linking up play. The team also had Axl Love, Pippa Cyman, and Freddie Spencer who all came on and made an impact.

Rovers opened the scoring when Cooper Woodhouse found the net, courtesy of an assist from Finley Adams, showcasing their attacking intent. Just moments later, Rovers quickly doubled their advantage, an own goal from a Milton And Fulston Utd player, assisted by William Payne. Kaden, Freddie and Felix batted well at the back to keep Fulston Zebras at bay although they managed to pull one back in the eighth minute, but Rovers responded swiftly, with Axl Love scoring his second goal of the match in the twelfth minute, once again assisted by William. Pippa almost had a couple of chances in the box but the bounce of the ball was not kind and Pippa still awaits her first goal for Iwade. The Zebras found the net again in the eighteenth minute, but the Rovers went into halftime with a commanding 5-2 lead.

The second half began with Finley Adams scoring shortly after the break, assisted by Freddie Spencer who also had a number of nearly moments in front of goal but was unlucky not to find the net, as the Rovers continued to dominate proceedings. Axl Love then completed his hat-trick in the thirty-first minute, followed by another goal just two minutes later, further solidifying Iwade Herons Rovers' dominance.

Kaden Evans added to the tally in the thirty-fourth minute, almost breaking the net from 2 yards out with a blast of a shot after connecting with Axls corner kick. Finley Adams capped off the scoring with a stunning long-range strike in the thirty-fifth minute. Felix was placed up front towards the end of the match and battled well to try and create a chance but Fulston made it difficult and no further goals came.

The final score, an emphatic 10-2 in favour of Iwade Herons Roverse was a testament to the Rovers' attacking flair and teamwork, with Cooper earning the accolade of Parent’s Player of the Match for his commanding performance and Axl earning Coach’s Play of the Match for an all action display. Every players had an outstanding game and worked their socks off. The result reflects a bright future for Iwade Herons Rovers as they continue their league campaign with confidence.
