Home league match played on 27 March 2012.
Kicked off at 8:00 PM

A wonderful night for inter menan down at champion soccer as andi vine produced a four goal special.

The sun was shining, the inter shirts were out in force although due to having to bring in wardle on a bosman due to unavailability menan have still not produced a 1 to 6 with all menan colours on display.

menan started positively straight from the off and should of been 2 - 0 up within the first 5 minutes of the game, the tempo was high and the work rate was phenominal. an organised disciplined performance led menan to a comfortable victory.

considering the boys have not had a game in 3 weeks and 3 regular menan players were unavailable this will have the media and oppositions scouts having to re-write notes on menans threat as they slowly creep up division 1's table.

singleton in goal made an early save getting down quickly to his left at a time when the scores were 0 - 0.

This woke menan up and it was not long till a.vine produced a wonderful display adding 4 goals to his tally for the season and more importantly taking his average rating up.

It has been reported fans and players alike have not been happy with the scoring system so the web admin guy has been given a kick up the back side and adjusted scores accordingly. Singleton must have had a quiet word.

Having said that 9's will not be dished out easily it is important 5 games in that players have something to aim for each time they pull on the menan shirt.

it has to be noted i have never seen n.vine make so many darting runs in his centre back role in all my life the man will note to the press he made a darting run first half breaking sweat and unfortunately never recieved the ball on time from powley to score. This did not knock vines confidence or ticker and he continued to make these vital runs that give menan that extra body in midfield and was rewarded with a well taken goal.

that midweek run from the vines have really added that extra bit of stamina to both the vines games and long may this continue - map my run needs to be installed on all players phones as statistics will be closely monitored during the weeks ahead.

phil singleton's commitment cant be faltered this week making the drive from liverpool leaving work in time for an 8pm kick off and was assured throughout almost adding a goal to his tally. it has been a while since singleton netted and he reported it was an unbelievable feeling to have a strike on goal - im sorry to say phil having played at the back for 6 years for menan its something you have to get used to being last man - all though it is expected one goal a season is the minimum requirement of all defenders.

powley what can i say spirited performance worked hard throughout terrior in the tackle and added a lovely assist with yourr magical feet twisting and turning defenderrs inside out.

bosman signing of ryan wardle proved a valuable addition to the squad, rare occassion for wardle not to be on the score sheet but added an assist so he will be pleased with his overall performance tonight. it was noted by one fan that have the scouts of menan done their homework as wardle was seen stretching after  2 minutes, was this a fitness issue or just the opportunity to warm up before the 8pm kick off was not possible - only wardle can answer this one.

enjoy your week off boys and the social ahead this friday , three points are a must next tuesday.
