Beads FC looked the more polished and organised side as there very simplistic style punished the Smithy against the run of play mostly.
The smithy took a hit when in the first minute when a under pressure Rikki Woodhouse hit a soft back pass to goal keeper David Usher which allowed The Beads FC striker to nip in between and round the ball into an empty net 1-0 Beads.
This did not deter The Smithy as they put together some impressive passes going forward and winning a corner in the 14th minute of which David Campbell crossed towards the near post for Alix LLewellyn to bulldoze through the defensive line and header past the Beads FC Keeper leveling up 1-1.
From another Smithy attack Alex Brown attempted one of his signiture long throws for the Beads goal keeper to collect un-challenged who then kicked the ball up field for an unmarked Beads right winger to collect in his stride and beating David Usher on the counter to make it 2-1 Beads FC on the 22nd min mark.
Smithy FC seemed to have the better of possesion but rarely testing the Beads GK and dead on the stroke of half time Beads to swiftly counter as there right winger disposed of left back Tim Jennings drove into the 18 yard box and cutting back for an un-marked Beads striker to tap in at the rear post 3-1 Beads 45 mins gone.
With only minutes gone in the second half an un-pressed centre mid from Beads casually struck the ball from 25 yards which left David Usher red faced after been beat by an awkward boune left him flapping 4-1 49th minute .
Smithy again looking the better side with the majority of possesion were pushing to reduce the deficite when what looked like a wrong decision by the referee Stelmech to award a corner to Beads and from what was a scruffy bobbly cross into the right near post it was toe poked in from a on coming attacker 5-1 Beads 70th minute.
From then things were starting to sour and two of the Smithy FC stalwarts Tim Jennings and David Campbell already picking up bookings things between the two sides had started to look heated and young winger Callum Dalton lost his cool after been left disgruntled by a harsh decision from the referee he proceeded to foulmouth the ref and opposition resulting in him spitting at a Beads FC ginger Centre Back and the ref had no option but to give him a red card .
Moments later while referee was still reeling from what had previously happened he again showed Smithy FC player Denny Alderson a red card from what could of been seen as harmless banter but the referee was having none of it and give him his second yellow to give the young man his marching orders.
The full time whistle couldnt of come quick enough for the Smithy FC but before they could gather them selves and re-group Beads knocked the ball over the top of the Smithy back line and left Beads striker to lob a stranded David Usher from 30 yards to cap off what had turned into a nightmare start from an earlier impressive Smithy 6-1 full time to the Beads FC.
Sam Williams , David John , David Campbell and before seeing red Callum Dalton and Denny Aldersons efferts deserve mentioning as they put in great performances through out ...
