The early morning kick off seemed to suit the Hythe All Stars, who took early control of the game. Instead of letting their heads drop, the vets bounced back with Luke putting constant pressure on the back four and winning a corner.
The corner was take perfectly by Wheeler,who was making his first appearance in 10 years, Jeff half volleyed into the floor and lobbed keeper. 35 minutes gone and it was 1-1 and all to play for.
Benno came on and within minutes dispossessed Charlie and hit a rocket from 30 yards that smashed the crossbar.
The game suddenly opened up and on 35 minutes, Billy found himself in space for the first time and hit a stunning shot from 35 yards, the ball moved so much in the air that Dazza shifted his position 3 times before the ball smashed the back of the net. Assist was by debutant Luke.
Just as the vets were looking dejected after conceding, recent reject, Stu got an equaliser from in his own half the ball bounced three times over two Defenders plus the keeper. Kev got the assist.

From the restart Dean, continued to pile on the pressure and from his hard work, the Vets won another corner. Harry took an inch perfect corner and Stu headed the ball, with his eyes firmly shut.
A new found confidence ran through the team and from the brilliance of Burgess the team were now playing total quality football throughout the team. 17 consecutive passes were counted.
In the 75th minute saw a controversial moment when Dazza came flying out to tackle Billy and totally took the ball only for Baresh to give a free kick.

To finish off a sensational performance, Wheeler put through a sensational ball for Luke to run onto and placed it around the advancing keeper.
