Joy for the lads as Haddonfield dismantled table topping Kent Wanderers 10-0 to move in to 2nd position in Division 2.

The performance was absolutely superb from start to finish and it may well have been more had Haddonfield been more deadly in front of goal!

A first clean sheet of the season should also breed more confidence in to the defence and Haddonfield had 'keeper Sam Hollands to thank after a phenomenal one-on-one save in the dying minutes of the game!

A deserved first half hat-trick for Stuart Lee - including a bullet header from a Scott Mulgrew corner - set the tone as Haddonfield went in 5-0 up at half-time with further goals from GJ and Matt Bell.

GJ made it 6-0 not long in to the 2nd half, following up after Rob Savage somehow missed the ball from 3 yards out with the goal at his mercy. GJ then missed the opportunity to get his hat-trick when screwing a penalty wide of the right hand post.

Kent Wanderers were perhaps unlucky to go down to 10 men after their centre back was sent off for handling in the box. Harsh to give the red at 6-0 but a fair decision as the guilty party had his hand above his head when stopping a goalbound Matt Bell strike.

After a delay in the game while the decision was contested by the away side, Scott Mulgrew kept his cool and tucked the penalty into the bottom left-hand corner to make it 7-0.

After that, debutant Chris Willis - who started the game at centre back, before moving up front with 25 minutes to go - bagged a hat-trick, to seal a very impressive first game for the club.

Haddonfield move up to 2nd position, with only their first game conquerers, South East Wonderers above them.

A very impressive performance and we continue to get better every game. I thought we looked dangerous every time we attacked, which is something we have to continue with going forward.

Take nothing away from Kent Wanderers, they battled very well, played some great football and opened us up with ease a couple of times, they just lacked a clinical striker, with most of their attempts coming from outside the box and only a handful were on target (I think their top scorer missed this game, so we can't take that too lightly)

CT pulled off a great save at the end to keep his clean sheet in tact and I am chuffed for him as it's his first season in 11-a-side football and he has improved drastically every game he's played for us! We have the makings of a very, very good 'keeper with him!

Again, the defence looked solid and dealt with 95% of what was thrown at them very well! Adam slotted in well as soon as he came on and looked like he had been with us for months, rather than minutes!

The midfield took a bit longer to get going as we were bypassed at times in the first half but once we got our passing game going, we kept the ball very well 80% of the time, perhaps one or two times the ball over the top could have instead been the easier 5 yard pass to keep possession, but we are all guilty of doing that from time to time.

Both Matt's were absolutely tireless and put in an incredible amount of energy and effort! Glad to see Matty Bell get his first goal, which he deserved! Matt Seamons popped up with a couple of assists and both were always willing to put the extra running in, which we can only be happy with.

Again, GJ and Stu linked well and looked a class above the opposition defence. Chris notched a 25 minute hat-trick when moving up top 2nd half and that bodes well for us moving forward ad GJ will miss all of October with a ban!

Great game lads.. on we go!!
