St Margaretsbury FC Vs Goffs Oak Gremlins
Venus All Saints, St Abbotts
First Half
Todays game was rather dissapointing considering the Gremlins faced their first defeat this season in a friendly match againt St Margaretsbury FC.
The game started off well with good spirits and alot of passing and moving.
An early effort from Kris Kane saw the keeper standing to watch the ball fly past his side post, a good attempt.
Many attempts By new signing Darren Rebeiro saw the keeper save atleast 3 efforts before the break!
After a few more attempts and tackles the first goal was scored by The bury (44), which then caused the Gremlins heads to drop.
44 (1-0)
Martin Lloyd added some consistency in the middle and played his part in helping the team with his ever flowing through balls for Rebeiro and Kane, but neither striker could finish.
Coming close to half time, the Gremlins switched Kris Kane with James Greenwood and put a little bit of pressure on but could not seal a goal before the break.

Second Half
Dan Humphrey (OFF) Christian O'neill (ON)
Kris Kane (OFF) Dan Surridge (ON)
Going into the second half saw new signings O'neill and Surridge come on and add some speed and tempo to the game. Christain O' neill added some pace down the left hand side, getting past the defender plenty of times to get an accurate cross into the box.
Dan Surridge added some pace and accuracy into the middle to feed through the Midfielders and forwards.
Martin Lloyd continued to put alot of pressure on the back four with some heavy tackles, and great passes which lifted the gremlins and everyone throught their might be a glitter of hope for a goal, however 64 minutes played, saw some sloppy defending which allowed a bury player to come one on one with the goalkeeper and nothing he could do but watch the ball fly past him and into the net
64 (2-0)
A game which was then turned on its head, couldnt see the gremlins getting back into it.
84 minutes played saw the ball come to Darren Rebeiro who took the ball through the defenders and around the goalkeeper to over run the ball, only to slide last minute to pass the ball across the goal for Mark Humphry to tap in a well deserved consolation goal.
84 ( 2-1)
The match continued to be end to end, seeing James Greenwood have a few efforts on goal, but couldnt get the ball out of his feet, Rebeiro had a few more efforts saved, but the Gremlins perceveered right out to the very end.
Overall a well deserved win for St Margaretsbury FC.
