Manor started early when in the fifth minute Craig Millist burst down the right hand side and atttempted to drill in a cross, which struck the hand of the Wanderers defender and a penalty was given. Dan Cowell stepped up and slotted it home easily with his right foot, 1-0
We didnt have to wait long until the second when a run from Liam ended in a through ball to the waiting Ben who calmly slotted past the stranded goalkeeper to take the manor further into the lead 2-0
The game died down a bit until the 25th when an amazing individual effort from Darryl Millist ended in him 1-1 with the keeper and he spectacularly lobbed it over the charging keeper and into the back of the net to take Manor further into the lead 3-0
Wanderers pulled a goal back in the 28th to take the score to 3-1
Manor replied quickly and pulled further into the lead in the 30th when Matt Pender slotted the ball through to Craig who calmly slotted past the charging keeper to take the score to 4-1
The 35th minute saw the manor stretch their lead going into the half time break when Craig drew the defenders away from a waiting Ben and slid the ball through for him to slot it into the corner of the net to take the score to 5-1
Half time saw the introduction of Aaron Standing to replace Matt in the centre of midfield
it wasnt until the 50th minute that Manor seemed to get hold of the game once again when a jinking run from Craig left Jason open on the edge of the 18 yard box, a simple pass and jason bent the ball into the top corner out of the reach of the keeper and take the score to 6-1 with a definate goal of the season contender
Alton replied and took the score to 6-2
the 56th minute saw Manor extend their lead and Jason take his total to 2 for the game when a pass from Aaron left him with one to beat and he fired it into the bottom corner and took the score to 7-2
Manor could have extended their lead even further whn a ball from Jason into the box left a gaping hole in the Wanderers defence and Jamie Murray was left open in the box with only a tap in needed, the ball came across and Jamie fired at it with his left foot only to see the ball go wide of the post, another contender for miss of the season
Jamie made up for his miss in the 61st when he calmly slotted the ball through to Craig who fired it into the bottom corner to take the socre to 8-2
The 70th minute saw Rob replaced in goal by darlo and Dan Hatch filled the gap at left back
Wanderers threated many times but the manor defence managed to keep them out until the 77th when a run down from the right hand side led to a cross coming into the box towards a striker who waas clearly offside. Matt raised his linesman flag only to be controversially overruled by the referee and the goal stood, 8-3
after an argument with the ref Matt was shown a yellow card and relieved of his linesman duties.
the 79th minute saw Craig seal the win with his hatrick, when a through ball from Ben led to him having one defender to beat and he slotted the ball into he bottom left hand corner to take the score to 9-3
Although there was no real contender for MOM, it has to go to Craig for his hatrick
Manor travel to West Liss for the Eric Holbrook cup next week
