Home league match played on 22 November 2014.
Kicked off at 2:00 PM

After a couple of defeats, Coldfield needed a result today especially against a team who they beat earlier in the season 3-1 at their ground on a hots summers day. That match produced goals from Sheerin, Ruary and Darryl. Unfortunately Darryl would not featue in this game as he was headhunted by a premier league side and had to say goodbye to the Coldfield family.

Coldfield had home advantage in this game and were looking to impress straight from the off, it took until the 30th minute for the Coldfield attack to break through. Dan Taylor played a lovely ball through to Kieran Deakin who turned and got brought down by their defender. Penalty to Coldfield, Deakin steps up and drills it home in the right hand corner of the goal. Keeper had no chance. 1-0 Coldfield.

Wake Green lacked class and kept playing the long ball hoping for a mistake from the coldfield defence. Their poor tactics finally paid off when their midfielder turned in the box only for Ash Chapman to leave out his leg and the player tumbled in the box for a penalty. Their striker stepped up confidently to take the penalty, hit it with power towards the bottom right hand corner only for the towering keeper Timmis to reach over and tip behind for a corner. A quality save which could of changed the game for Coldfield but the heroics of the keeper kept the advantage for Coldfield.

A long ball was played over the defence through to Ash Chapman who's blistering pace got behind their defence. His persistance and flick to Sheerin left an easy opportunity to drill the ball home. 2-0 Coldfield.

There should of been more goals but Coldfield went into half time with the lead. A solid performance and a clean sheet on the horizon.

The first 20 minutes of the second half Coldfield showed the quality which could see them promoted this season.

Shortly after a great team display of short passes Daniel Crook found himself in space after some great movement by Sheerin, instead of shooting from the edge of the area he played a sweet ball past their centre back for a hopeful Sheerin. Sheerin had positioned himself perfectly for a solid finish past the Wake Green Keeper. 3-0 Coldfield.

This comfortable lead provided the opportunity to bring on Dave Withers who signed for the club today, he replaced Daniel Crook who played fantastically. Withers slotted in next to Sheerin and looked dangerous immediately. A couple of close chances could of ended in goals but it wasnt to be.

Coldfield switched off for 10 minutes and their quick winger zipped in a ball from the right wing across the box with everyone missing it and no anticipation from any Coldfield players which resulted in an easy tap in from the visitors. Coldfield 3-1 Wake Green.

Wake Green gained confidence from this and kept on attacking, a clumsly challenge led to a free kick on the edge of the box. An inswinging ball right into the danger zone was collected by keeper Timmis only for his desent to the floor to create a mistake and the ball slipped loose from his grip and into the net. Coldfield 3-2 Wake Green.

Coldfield were shook up from this but started to gain the advantage again. Sheerin made way for Walker with 15 minutes to go.

Coldfield need to tighten up at the back if they hope to gain promotion this season, silly mistakes have cost them results this season luckily not in this game.
