Some poor refereeing decisions lead to us dropping another 2 points.
Brookmans Park 'A' started the game off very positively by winning 3 corners in the first 3 minutes.
However CHL grew into the game very quickly and started to find some room down the right hand side with some good triangle play with Andy Wilde, Sam Parchment and Patrick Keenan. One of these lead to CHL taking the lead for the 3rd league game in a row, with some good interpassing play down the right played Sam Parchment through, whose shot across the face of goal was deflected in by the defender.
CHL saw out the rest of the first half relatively comfortably and defended a few corners well after recent game conceeding from corners.
The 2nd half saw a change up front with Vincent Tilbury coming on for Martin Doyle.
The first 20 minutes were pretty even as a contest but again some good inter play (this time down the left) put Daler Bhaker through on goal but the defender was able to get to the ball first, however Daler Bhaker didn't give up and won the ball back and had the vision to see his cousin Nishan Bhaker who took on 2 defenders and shot passed the keeper.
Soon after Nishan Bhaker was to be replaced with the more defensive minded Mark Gilder on the left side of midfield in a tactical change to try and secure the win and a clean sheet. Unfortunately this did not pan out as planned and a long ball was to bounce over the back four and bouced up awkwardly that Andy Muschialli was only able to parry to the on rushing forward who slotted home to give the home team a foot back into the game.
Then came the start of our dwonfall as the ref made some ludicrous decisions which ultimately lead to CHL coming away with just a point.
The home team was to increase the pressure to push for the equaliser but in a counter attcking move Vincent was through on goal and was upended in the penalty area by the defence only for the ref not to award the stonewall penalty as he "didn't See It"
Another long ball was put over from the home team but this time the offside flag was raised instantly only for the ref to ignore it and then award a freekick for a backpass when Patrick Keenan beat the attacker to the ball and Andy Muschialli was to gather.
CHL line up on the goal line to try to keep the freekick out to which the initial save was to be made by the keeper and the follow up shot to be deflected away to relative safety.
Just as we thought we had saved the last minutes onslaught a corner was given away and the ref gave a penalty for the resulting corner for what deemed to be just Luke Searing standing his ground.
Unfortunately Andy Muschialli was unable to prevent the penalty hit the back of the net. That deemed to be the last real contest of the game and once again CHL have come away with just a draw when we should have taken all 3 points.
However on the bright side, we have trebled last seasons points tally and now remain unbeaten in the league in the last 3 games.
