Away league match played on 11 January 2015.
Kicked off at 10:30 AM

Casuals and Pelham ran out comfortable 4-0 winners away from home in their final top of the table clash against Brewers FC. Brewers started the brighter of the two sides and found their passing range pretty quickly. Pelham held firm though and didn't let much through, but unfortunately just couldn't get much going in terms of passing and possession football. Pelham soon found their feet at started to compete a lot more with the home side, finally getting a foot hold in the game and seeing a lot more of the ball. The next 15-20 minutes continued to be a well fought affair in the middle of the park. Pelham struck the first goal of the game as Liam Perry's flicked header found Dan Arran who volleyed the ball with a stunning strike from 30 yards out, up and over the goalkeeper. That goal gave Pelham a new lease of life and they continued to press, finding their second goal not long after as Dan Arran picked up the ball again, this time playing in Rob Parrish who fully took advantage of a one on one with the Brewers keeper, slotting the ball home. With Pelham 2-0 up they started to hold onto the ball a lot more and dominated the last 15 minutes of the half, with Brewers hardly having a site of the Pelham goal and not really testing the Monk with any shots. Two changes were made at the half with Mark Hainsby replacing the injured Matt Boyce and Danny McGurk replacing Paul Knight. Pelham knew the next goal would be vital in a game like this and started the second half brightly, they continued the dominate the possession and play some good football. Not long after the break the ball fell to Rob Parrish who with one touch layed the ball onto Dan Arran who again with just one touch found Dan Boyce running through on goal who then slotted home to make it 3-0. With the score at 3-0 and the game looking pretty much over, the away side continued to hold onto the ball better and have the majority of the possession. A few more subs were made in quick succession with Brad Adams, Steve Willett and Joe White replacing Adam Notley, Dan Boyce and Rob Parrish. The game was well and truly put to bed on 73 minutes when Liam Perry slotted a ball through for Joe White who used his pace to run away from the defender and cooly slotted home past the keeper. The ball was in the net again after Joe White thought he had bagged his second, only for the goal to be ruled out for offside eventually, after both sides had set up for the restart. The last 15 minutes were played out and Pelham continued to play some nice football, and get themselves over the line for a well deserved 4-0 victory. Although Brewers weren't as good as they were last time, it shouldn't take away from how well Pelham played for the full 90 minutes. 3 league games left which we would love to win and finish the league campaign unbeaten. Micks man of the match this week was deservedly so Dan Arran who Mick said had his best ever game in a Casuals and Pelham shirt. Mick also said a close second was Liam Perry who worked absolutely relentless and bagged himself 2 assists. On to the league cup next week against Hawks, let's keep the run going and push on for some silverware. Well played lads. COYCAP.
