ADFC began the new season and the reign of David Green with an excellent 4-2 victory against newly promoted and the highly fancied Long Crendon Football Club.
Aylesbury found themselves 1-0 down after just five minutes! However even after missing a penalty kick Carl Moreton soon redeemed himself with a fine finish after a great pass from motm Stephen Lindsey.
10 minutes later and Stephen Lindsey then set up the prolific Christopher Shennan for his first goal of the new season. However a costly mistake in defence just 3 minutes later levelled the scores at 2-2 going into the halftime break.
All round the second half proved a much better team display by ADFC and this effort and performance was rewarded. In the 66th minute a Taran Ashall corner kick was headed home by Chris Shennan to put the men in red 3-2 up!
After their third goal Aylesbury continued to create and were now in complete control of the game.
In the 79th minute ADFC broke on the counter and an excellent move was rounded of by Taran Steven Ashall, half volleying the ball home from just inside the oppositions box.
This goal all but ended the game and earn't a well deserved 3 points for Dave Greens red army!
Well done to all involved. A grand start to the new season!
