South Norfolk Youth Football League
The South Norfolk Youth Football League (SNYFL) is an amateur football league for children and young people in the South Norfolk area of England. The league was founded in 1972 and currently has over 1,000 players registered.
The SNYFL runs leagues for boys and girls from Under-7s to Under-18s. The leagues are divided into age groups and ability levels. There are also cup competitions for each age group.
The SNYFL is affiliated to the Norfolk County Football Association (NCFA). The NCFA provides the SNYFL with support and guidance.
Season Structure
The SNYFL season runs from September to April. The season is divided into two halves, with a winter break in December and January.
The first half of the season is played in a league format. Each team plays each other team once, home and away. The top teams in each league qualify for the end-of-season cup competitions.
The second half of the season is played in a cup format. The cup competitions are open to all teams in the league.
Venues
The SNYFL games are played at a variety of venues across South Norfolk. The most common venues are local schools and sports fields.
