Introduction
The Cambridge University MCR league is an amateur football league for students at the University of Cambridge. It is organized by the Cambridge University MCR (Members' Common Room), which is the student union for graduate students.
The league was founded in 1974 and currently has over 40 teams competing in it. The teams are divided into three divisions: the Premier League, Division One, and Division Two.
The league season runs from October to March, with each team playing each other once. The top two teams in each division are promoted to the next division, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the next lower division.
The league also has a cup competition, the MCR Cup, which is open to all teams in the league. The cup competition is played in a knockout format, with the final usually being played in March.
