WATERFALL CITY was founded in 2005 by a group of local residents who wanted to provide a footballing opportunity for young people in the area. The team quickly rose through the ranks of the Johannesburg amateur leagues and in 2015, they were promoted to the Gauteng Regional League.
WATERFALL CITY has made steady progress in the Gauteng Regional League and in 2022, they finished in third place. The team is now hoping to achieve promotion to the National First Division in the near future.
