The Stallions Sporting Club is a football (soccer) team based in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. The club was founded in 1972 and currently competes in the SAB League, the third tier of South African football.
The Stallions have won the SAB League title on two occasions, in 2007 and 2013. They have also reached the final of the Nedbank Cup on two occasions, in 2008 and 2014.
History
The Stallions were founded in 1972 by a group of local businessmen and community leaders. The club's first home ground was a field in the Bergville township.
The Stallions quickly established themselves as a force in local football, winning the Bergville League title in their first season. They were promoted to the SAB League in 1975.
The Stallions won their first SAB League title in 2007. They followed this up with another title in 2013.
The Stallions have also reached the final of the Nedbank Cup on two occasions, in 2008 and 2014. They lost both finals to Kaizer Chiefs.
