The Southern Guilford Storm is the boys' soccer team of Southern Guilford Middle School in Greensboro, North Carolina. The team competes in the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference.
History
- The Storm was founded in 1995.
- The team has won the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference championship 10 times, most recently in 2022.
- The Storm has also qualified for the state playoffs 12 times, most recently in 2021.
Recent Season
The Storm finished the 2022 season with a record of 17-2-1. The team won the Mid-Piedmont 3A Conference championship and qualified for the state playoffs. The Storm lost in the second round of the state playoffs to the eventual state champion.
Coaching Staff
The Storm is coached by Mark Welder. Welder has been the head coach of the Storm since 2005. He is a graduate of Southern Guilford High School and UNC Greensboro.
